SORON cat water fountain filters and fresh-keeping home goods
A cat drinks more when the water tastes fresh. SORON makes the replacement filters that keep fountains clean — matched to PETLIBRO, Veken and the popular stainless steel models — plus vacuum bags that keep clothes fresh in a suitcase and a kit for bread you raise yourself.
- Filters listed by fountain model and size
- Carbon, resin, cotton and pump sponge
- Each filter and sponge sealed singly
- Vacuum bags and a sourdough kit too
Why change a fountain filter at all?
Pets drink more from moving water, but moving water only stays fresh while something is cleaning it. In a SORON cartridge that work is split between four layers, each doing one job — and each with a limit, which is why the packs come twenty or fifty at a time.
- CarbonActivated carbon pulls smell and off-taste out of water that circulates all day.
- ResinIon-exchange resin softens tap water and binds heavy metals.
- CottonA fiber layer traps fur, food crumbs and dust before they cloud the bowl.
- SpongeA separate sponge at the pump intake keeps grit away from the motor.

Which fountain do you have?
Pick the fountain, get the filter. Measure the old cartridge if the model name has worn off the base.

“They fit and all the sets have separate little sealed bags they’re in. Very nice.”
“Fit perfectly in my cat's water fountain. Seems to serve its purpose.”
“Love these! They work great! I fold my clothes, at least 3 outfits, slide them in the bag and use the gadget to suck the air out of the bag. I used three bags for a 7 day cruise. A+++/10 out of 10!”
“My dog and cat have a name brand water fountain that makes their own brand of filters, but they are very expensive. I thought I would try the SORON filters instead at a much more reasonable price. I can't tell the difference between them. They fit perfectly and are packed individually so I know that they are clean. I now have a subscription for them and will continue using them in the future”
About SORON cat water fountain filters
Why fountain filters need changing
A fountain circulates the same water all day. The carbon in a filter is what keeps it smelling fresh, and it saturates in about two weeks; the resin that softens tap water does the same. After that the fountain is just moving water in a circle, and fresh, clean water is the whole reason to own one.
How to choose the right replacement filter
Start with the fountain's model name on the base, then check the cartridge size. SORON lists both for every filter: 3.8 × 2 in for PETLIBRO and the GIOTOHUN-type stainless fountains, 3.9 × 3.9 in for the Veken 95 oz, 2.99 × 1.69 in for the 67–135 oz stainless models, and 4.13 in round for round-filter fountains. Each pack includes matching pump sponges.
Is it safe for cats and dogs?
The filters are made from BPA-free materials — activated carbon, ion-exchange resin, cotton and sponge — and SORON lists NSF testing for them. Soaking before use washes away carbon dust so the first water is clear.
Beyond the fountain
SORON also makes travel vacuum seal bags with a rechargeable pump, in a 20-bag set and a 15-bag carry-on set, and a sourdough starter kit with a banneton proofing basket.
Fountain filter questions
How often should I change a cat fountain filter?
Every two weeks for one cat. More pets or hard water mean sooner. Change the pump sponge at the same time — each pack holds one sponge per filter.
Do I need to soak the filter first?
Yes — 3 minutes for the rectangular filters, 5–10 for the round ones, then a rinse. It clears carbon dust and lets water flow through evenly.
Will these fit my fountain?
Match the model name and the cartridge size listed on each filter page. If the size differs by more than a couple of millimetres, it won't seat properly.
Are the filters individually wrapped?
Yes, every filter and every sponge in the 20- and 50-packs is sealed on its own.
